Work installed in Victoria Square, Adelaide, named after Queen Victoria and the centre of the Adelaide square mile, as well as being the site of the Red Kangaroo totem of the area, and a historic and current meeting place for the local peoples. One side of the council flower bed bore the word Kuarna, in the handwriting of a Kuarna Aboriginal elder, the traditional owners of the land, the other side an enlargement of the signature of Queen Victoria. When standing in the square - the meeting site - and over looking Adelaide, one could read the word Kuarna, when approaching by road to the square, the word Victoria. Developed in association with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Association and representatives of the Miwi and Kuarna peoples.
